Matt and Tiffany Hutchinson are serving as our Student Pastors. Tiffany will also be leading our Driven Drama Team.
Their love for people, compassion toward young people, and their great passion to continue reaching the next generation through the power of Jesus Christ are what have rooted Matt and Tiffany in student ministry.
Matt has worked in various departments at Jefferson Avenue Church of God throughout his teenage years, but it wasn’t until later he took on the role of worship pastor and associate pastor of IMPACT youth ministries. It wasn’t long before Matt recognized his growing interest in performing/media arts and began leading worship and assisting his wife, Tiffany, with the drama team, “Actin’ Up”. Both have been active in this ministry in their student years, competing on international teen talents levels and traveling with drama, ministering to every Church of God youth camp in just about every east coast state. During this time, Matt was blessed with opportunities to put out two albums with the worship band “Huntington” and continues to write music and travel evangelically when possible. Also, Matt has been vital in planning retreats, ministry opportunities, and helping organize mission trips to various states. Within the last 2 years, Matt has been responsible for helping to grow and ministering to new college/young adult ministry called “Epoch”. Matt is regularly asked to judge many states at Teen Talent in the drama division with his wife Tiffany. Matt has continued to be drawn to minister to a generation by all avenues of ministry: music, drama, and teaching the gospel. Today Matt continues to preach the gospel of Christ that is relevant in way students become active, equipped, and engaged within the body of Christ. Bringing out the talents each student possess is a passion he has as well as shaping them into vessels and leaders in the church and communities.
Matt married his wife Tiffany in 2003, and they have two children Harper and Sawyer. He is a 2006 Marshall graduate. Matt enjoys playing/watching sports, and is an avid Kentucky basketball and Marshall Football fan. He is currently a full time PTA at Cabell Huntington Hospital’s sports medicine and rehabilitation therapy center.
